Non-Warranty Returns

You have the right to return any goods purchased from this website within 7 days starting from the date of delivery. The goods being returned must be in ‘as new’ condition. TheScrewdriver.co.uk reserves the right to make a charge for delivery costs incurred, and also the right to charge a minimum fee of 15% in cases where the goods are not returned to us in ‘as new’ condition.

‘As new’ means there are no traces that the packaging has been opened and all supplied contents are present and in perfect condition.

 

Warranties

All brand new items carry a minimum of a full 12 month manufacturers return to base warranty.

If at any time within this warranty period, the equipment fails, in the first instance call us on +44(0)20 7274 2909 or email us on info@thescrewdriver.co.uk and one of our advisers will try and help you rectify the fault over the telephone.

If your item fails or is faulty within 30 days of receipt, and is not due to mis-use or other reason excluded from the normal warranty, we will exchange it for a new item.

After the 30 day period, we will arrange a suitable repair of the item.

 

Warranty Returns

All warranty returns must be authorised in advance by calling +44(0)20 7274 2909. If we decide that your item needs to be returned to us, we will issue you with a returns authorisation number. This number must be displayed clearly on the outside of any returns sent to us.

 

Payment Methods

We accept payment on our website through the Paypal Checkout system. You can choose to make payment by Paypal and by most major credit and debit cards.

 

Shipping

All products in stock will be sent the next working day. Currently, we offer online ordering and shipping to the UK Europe and outside Europe. Shipping rates do vary between areas.

The shipping method we use is determined by the size & nature of the goods being purchased. Sometimes you will have the choice of different shipping methods. These will be offered to you at the checkout stage of ordering.

For some items, someone will need to be present at the delivery address to sign for the goods. We are not able to be specific about the delivery time. Deliveries are normally made between 8.30am and 6pm Monday to Friday.

 

No-one at home?

Our courier will try and deliver your parcel(s) twice. After the second failed attempt, your goods will be returned to our warehouse. If you would like us to try and deliver them again, we will charge the delivery charges associated with your order again.

 

Out of stock items and back orders

When an item is not available for shipping within 2 days, we will contact you immediately to let you know, and ensure that it is shipped the next working day after it has arrived at our premises.

Credit Card Security

All credit card numbers are encrypted in the software when the order is placed using encryption. We do not store your card details anywhere. They are not held on our web site, nor included in any email. We use the latest secure site technology to protect you.

 

WEEE Regulations

The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (or WEEE) Regulations are now U.K. law. All European member States including the U.K. have agreed to reduce the amount of WEEE that is being disposed of in landfill sites. We are doing our best to satisfy these regulations.

 

Special Order Items & Deposits

If you wish to order a non-stock item, you will be required to pay a minimum 10% non-returnable deposit. The remaining balance is payable upon despatch of the item to you. Should you wish to cancel the order of a special order item for any reason before it arrives to you, your deposit will not be returned.
